Science and pattern books

Today in the science center, we talked about different properties. Students explored materials made out of wood, metal, paper, and plastic. They also talked about different characteristics of materials. They learned about materials that were rough, smooth, hard, soft, and light. They then took materials and placed them under the correct heading. They also then worked to label their drawings and or taped the materials to their paper.






In writing students have been working on pattern books. Here are a few examples:
