Today in language through development centers, students were given their own art pads. The art pads, paints, and brushes were donated through Donors Choose. We talked about how artists have their own art pads and they keep their paintings in it to create a collection. They also were given new brushes and learned how to create different types of lines to make their paintings detailed. They also explored the process of color mixing and figured out by looking at paint samples how to make different colors. We even talked about different names of the paints and how we could use them in our paintings. Students were also given the opportunity to use really nice paints to create their beautiful art work.
