Today, students learned about the Hindu festival Diwali, which is the festival of lights. They were able to create Rongoli mats which is a symbol and custom for this holiday. They also learned about the Diyas which are the lights that are lit in each others' homes. Students also learned about what Sari's are and what women and men dress up in on this holiday which is similar to the Christmas Holiday. Here are photos of what they created!
