This past Friday we took a trip to the Flushing Library. The students were so excited and they even were able to look at books as well as receive cards. The teacher even played the guitar to sing songs and read books to them.

We also started to work on pattern book writing and reading books. Students have been able to read the books and recognize the basic sight words to help them with their reading and writing.

Students also have been working on building a city in blocks. They used the books to help them and also started labeling the city. They used what they knew and also with scaffolding they were able to label the city and use words they knew to help them.
