Yesterday, we had the opportunity to have Mr. L our science teacher come in for a classroom visit. Students have been interested in worms and had so many questions that I thought it would be beneficial for them to listen to a real "scientist." Some of their questions were "why do worms break in half?" Students K. Another student wanted to know "why do the worms keep dying?" Student W. Students were able to have their questions answered and at the same time learn some great, interesting facts about worms that they did not know about. It was also exciting for the students to have another teacher come in, that they don't get to regularly see.
