What are you thankful for?

Our Thanksgiving feast

Over the past few weeks, we have been talking about and sharing what we are thankful for. We visited the local food pantry to give items we collected as a way to show how we can help in the community. We collected 86 items. Families thank you so much for all your help and support. We will continue to talk about this as the holidays are approaching us. For Thanksgiving we had a feast to show that we are thankful for all we have. Students brought in different foods to share with each other.  We also are doing a pajama drive to give to children who are less fortunate.  It really is so important for students to learn about and understand how lucky they are and to be greatful for all that they have. As we move into the holiday sesason we will be discussing still how we are fortunate, the many different holidays that are approaching, and what will begin to change as the winter season approaches us.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and enjoy your long weekend. Lastly don't forget to use your cool culture card. If you go to the website, http://www.coolculture.com/, you will find many activities that you can do with your child.  Enjoy and I will see you soon.
