Whats going on?

math
mural painting
Last week was a great first week, and this week is even better. We are really learning how to do things on our own, and are getting to choose centers to work in. We even were able to take out our folders all by ourselves without any help!!! This week we are focusing in on counting 0-10 and doing many different songs in math to reinforce this concept. We also started learning the letters of the alphabet, and this week we are working on the letter a. Some things you can do at home are to have your child find objects that start with the letter a, and even draw objects. Also as far as numbers and counting have your child practice writing their numbers and even help you with finding numbers as they walk to and from school. We also have been working with scissors. As a family you can have your child work on cutting by cutting objects from the paper, or even coupons for when you go shopping. If you have any questions feel free to email me, and also don't forget tomorrow night is open school night from 6-7 pm. Last don't forget to do your reading log, and check the white board outside the classroom daily. Have a great rest of the week.
Students workking on art using a variety of materials.
