Dear families,
I hope you are having a wonderful week. I just recently attended the early childhood convention and learned that play is so important in your child's learning each and every day. Some activities you can do at home together are to cook, use playdough, cut out papers, and even make puppets with socks. If your child is ready to write more and read on their own then you may give them activities to do. But it is important that you are not forcing them to do work.
In the next couple of weeks we will be having some fieldtrips. On May 12, 2010 we will be going to Maggy Moos to learn about how icecream is made. The cost is $5.00. On May 21,2010 we will be attending the Queens Zoo. The cost of this will be $3.00.
We will be finishing up our units this week and will begin to look at spatial relationships in math, and farm animals in the zoo. As far as writing and letters go, continue to go over sounds and the difference between capital and lower case. Enjoy your week and talk to you soon.
