Today in math we looked at what it means to say
how many more do you need, and what is one more than _______________. Students used this vocabulary to work on filling out a ten frame with a partner. They rolled the dice and placed that many chips on the ten frame. They then said I have _____________, and the partner replied with You need _____________ to make ten.

At the end of the day in language development centers students wanted to do some more cooking. They made a healthy version of a banana split. They used chocolate pudding, 2 cups of skim milk, bananas , and a little bit of whipped cream.

K and B whisk the pudding |
First the students whisked the chocolate pudding mix with the milk.
 |
The next step students sliced the bananas
|
After the students took the bananas and put them in a plastic cup. They then took two scoops of chocolate pudding and added some whipped cream on top. They really enjoyed it and I can tell from the reaction of the other students we will be doing a lot more when we move into our how to writing unit.
