Our New Units of Study

Dear families, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Here are a few notes about what we will be learning in the month of February.
1: On Monday we will begin to teach the students about the difference between light and dark as well as night and day. Our new vocabulary words are light, dark, day, night, shadow, and flashlight. We will be using flashlights in the classroom to show the students how to make shadows. If you have any that you would like to send in we would appreciate it.

2. In math we will begin our unit in measurement. We will start with identifying the difference between big and small, large and little, long and short. Some things you can do at home are to have your child help you with cooking and measuring ingrediants. You can also have them count how many steps it takes from the door to their room and you can even help them measure with a ruler.
