What a great week!

Even though the trip was canceled we learned about the farm and did farm activities in the classroom.
Students worked on farm books to help them with vocabulary

Students made farms
This week was such a fun week of learning. Students learned and did so many new things. Even though our trip to the farm was canceled, we were still able to get pumpkins and also were even able to visit the Farmers Market. In writing we have been working on signs and making signs that can help us. We even went on a neighborhood walk with Ms. Rebecca to look at signs all around us.

Another thing we did this week was work on learning about Diwali the Festival of Lights. Students made Rangoli Mats which is something that the holiday symbolizes.

Thanks to the first grade teacher Ms.Tracy students were still able to get pumpkins even though they couldn't go the farm. They were really excited to decorate them as well.

Today we had the chance to go to the Farmers Market and look at where produce comes from. They were able to collect leaves along the way that will be used for our art projects in the next few weeks. Students picked out apples, pears, watermelon, and apple cider to have as a healthy snack. It was a great day and we had so much fun.
