Exploring new materials

We had a great first week, getting to know each other and learn about different rules in the classroom and throughout the school. Students were able to explore different learning materials. This week they explored with play dough, connecting cubes, markers, crayons, multicultural crayons/markers, colored pencils, pens, pencils, dominoes, and pattern blocks. We also explored literacy centers, learned how to use books correctly, and even had the chance to use scissors, and glue. Students really enjoyed the materials and will be using these throughout the year along with other materials. We also learned each others names, and created self portraits. Here are some photos from the week!
