Happy Thanksgiving

Today students learned more about Thanksgiving and were able to learn more about the pilgrims and the Wampanag Native Americans. They learned and watched a video about the first Thanksgiving. They also created different crafts and had a feast of their own. Foods they tasted were stuffing, pumpkin and apple pie, popcorn, cranberry sauce, yams, and stuffing. Some of the food they were able to identify and some of the food they had never tasted before!
During our discussion students talked about what they were thankful for. Here are some of their responses:
I am thankful for school.
I am thankful for food.
I am thankful for family.
I am thankful for friends.
I am thankful to be silly!

Students also explored new play centers today. Some of the play centers included the smart board, stamp painting, stamps, and a new dinosaur puzzle that we borrowed from Mr. Andy in Pre-k.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!! Also don't forget our trip to the Transit Museum is on Wednesday November 28.
